When I try to print I get dialogs asking for different information.
Check the printer that you have selected. If you have a fax machine, a pdfwriter, the Office Document Writer, or similar selected you may have different dialogs displayed. Go to the File Menu - Select Printer and select a "real" printer.

I want to upload documents or email them. How can this be done?
To create pdf documents for placing on a web site or emailing, you need to have a "pdf writer" installed. We recommend CutepdfWriter which is a free download. This allows you to create these documents by selecting "Cute pdfWriter" in your printer list.

How can I email draws to competitors?
If you have the email addresses in the data you can email the draws as text files (small so they will email easily) as follows:
1. Export the draw lists from in the Campdraft Manager software by selecting File - Export Data - Draw Data from the menu.
2. If you want to have a look at the files, close Campdraft Manager (or minimise), open My computer then C: .. campdr .. export. You should see the draw lists. They are named by the event name that you used and are all txt files. Double click to open. [If the columns are not aligned select Font and Courier New]
3. In Campdraft Manager Select Tools - Access Mailing Lists. On the screen select Email Addresses and then All with Email Addresses. Set the maximum number to whatever. [I have found that there is a limit to the number in an email message of 100. I'm not sure whether other providers have such a low limit as BigPond. If you try to send it to too many it will be rejected but you will be notified.] Ignore the label setting and click continue.
4. A screen opens with the first list of email addresses. Open Outlook Express (Don't close Campdraft Manager). Select View - All Headers to display the BCC box. Click in this box and then select Edit Paste. The first batch of addresses should be pasted here.
5. Attach the draw lists: Select 'Insert' from the menu and then 'File Attachment'. In the Look In section at the top of the window that appears select Mycomputer C: campdr export. You will see the exported text files here. Holding down the Ctrl key you should be able to click on each file that you want to send. When selected click 'Attach'. You will see the list of attached files appear about under the Subject line at the top of the message window. [These can be added one by one if you have any problems, just select Insert File Attachment again. The same folder should now open each time.
6. Add any text that you want to the message. My suggestion is (and you can copy this and paste into the email if you want):
Attached are the draws for the ..... Campdraft for ....[dates]. To open these files in Outlook Express follow these instructions. [Other email programs have similar options.] Double click on this message to open in a new window.
Double click on the attachment that you wish to look at. This should open in Notepad or WordPad. If you have to select an application from a list select Notepad.
If the text is not aligned select Font and set it to Courier New Regular 10.
Give the message a subject line and send the email.
7. Go back to Campdraft Manager and click on Next. Open a new message and Paste into the BCC to get the next batch sent. Repeat steps 4-7 until all addresses have been sent to.

An error message appears 'Settable.fpt is missing or invalid' when I access the system.
This problem seems to be due to some error when you have initially accessed the CD after installation. To stop this message appearing open My Computer, then C:, then campdr and then the folder filess. Delete any files here that have a name settable (probably settable.dbf). Be careful not to delete other files or you may need to reinstall the whole system. When you re-start Campdraft Manager you may be prompted to place your disk in the drive again. Ensure that you select the correct drive at the bottom of the Window. (CD drives are NEVER C:. They are usually D: although they can be any other letter.) Do not change the top section of the window.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some of the windows (such as the main entry screen) do not fit totally within my screen and I cannot always see the buttons at the bottom of the screen.
You can correct this by either removing the start bar at the bottom of the screen before starting Campdraft Manager or by increasing the resolution of the screen. The screen resolution can be changed by adjusting the settings in the 'Display' within the Control Panel. Usually the control panel is reached by selecting Start (then Settings) or opening 'My Computer' on the desktop. Open the Display within this. On the Settings tab you should find the Screen resolution settings. Adjust this to approx 800 x 600. When you re-open Campdraft Manager you should be able to easy view and access all options.

Why can't I print anything/ print properly?
The Campdraft Manager program sends the printed documents to the printer selected within the system. Should you add new hardware to your system the printer may need to be reselected. [File Menu - Select Printer.]
