Campdraft Manager - Help - Installation & Setup
When the disk is inserted the main setup options should appear on the screen. Click the install button to install the system. If this does not appear your computer may have autorun disabled. Access the install system by clicking on Computer, and then the DVD drive. you will see a file named autorun. Click on this to display the access screen.
The install process will prompt you for file locations. It is recommended that you accept the default settings. Upon completion, leave the CD in the drive as you will need it to register the software.
Once installation is complete start the system. You will see a registration screen. Enter the drive letter of your CD/DVD drive* and the ID from the disk case. Click OK. If this is successful you will be prompted for the details of your draft, if this is a new installation, or the details of the current draft will be displayed.

If "autorun" is disabled on your computer, you can start it manually by selecting Computer or MyComputer and then opening the CD/DVD drive. Click on autorun.

The USER ACCOUNT CONTROL needs to be turned OFF. To do this open the Control Panel and then the User Account Control. You willl see a check box that allows you to turn this off. Once this has been changed, start the Campdraft Manager again. You will need to inser the diska and enter the ID number.

When I first start the system I need to put in the CD but I don't seem to be able to get the system to start.
You need to put the CD in the drive before clicking on OK. Ths disk drive letter must be correct. To check that you have selected the correct drive, open My Computer. You should see a list of the drives and at least one will be a Cd/DVD drive. The icons beside the drives usually help in selecting the correct drive. The label beside the drive may be CM_3_xxx indicating a Campdraft Manager CD is inserted into this drive. Use this letter for teh drive on the screen where you are inserting the ID number.

This indicates that you have entered the wrong code or the wrong drive letter on the registration screen. Check the drive letter (it is never C, and is often not D) by opening Computer or MyComputer and checking the letter next to the CD/DVD drive.

If you are using Vista - you will need to turn off the User Account Controls. To do this open the Control Panel and then the User Account Control. If you are using Windows 7, and do not have the latest version you need to start the system as an administrator (probably for only the first time you start it). To do this, locate the menu item that you use to start the program, right click it with the mouse and select "Run as administrator".

This problem seems to be due to some error when you have initially accessed the CD after installation. To stop this message appearing open My Computer, then C:, then campdr and then the folder filess. Delete any files here that have a name settable (probably settable.dbf). Be careful not to delete other files or you may need to reinstall the whole system. When you re-start Campdraft Manager you may be prompted to place your disk in the drive again.

This problem occurs occasionally when an update to Version 3.0 has been added from some earlier versions. Open My Computer, then C:, then campdr and then the folder filess. Delete the file name settable.dbf. Be careful not to delete other files or you may need to reinstall the whole system. When you re-start Campdraft Manager you may be prompted to place your disk in the drive again.
