Scoring electronically allows instant sorting of scores, and selection of finalists

1 - Entering and Viewing Campdraft Scores

Campdraft Manager may be used to record scores on event day. The program will automatically total individual scores and upon request will sort in order of highest total score or highest cutout score. Manual record of scores must still be maintained, and should be checked with program scores to ensure accuracy.
From the "Scoring" menu select "Record Scores". Select "Open Event" and then click on event name that you wish to open so that it is highlighted.
A score sheet for that event will appear on screen, ready for the entry of the scores. More than one event can be open at any time. When closed the entered scores are retained on the system until the event is opened again. Do not change nominations in an event once scoring has begun. Rider names can be changed within the scoring system (by using the Change Rider button).
At the bottom of your Score Screen note that the 'Sort By' box contains 7 options, and the 'Show Columns for' contains 4 options.
(Note the selection of these fields in the following examples).

In this example, report is sorted in order of Round 1 Total (from highest score down). The columns displayed is set to Round 1 so that all the details for the first round are visible. Note that totals are automatically calculated as the scores are entered.
In this example, report is sorted in order of highest cut-out. The displayed columns are those for round 1.
Changes to the sort order are displayed instantly on the screen and can be adjusted as necessary. For example while entering scores the draw order is the best order to display. If you require the names of the current leaders just change the order.
The displayed columns show the columns that you are currently working with and the applicable totals. Note that if round 2 is selected the total from Round 1 is visible with the round 2 scores and the overall total. Similarly for a final the totals of rounds 1 and 2 are displayed, round 3/final scores and the overall totals.
At any time other columns are visible by scrolling to the right on the screen. Changes to the columns, like changes to the sort order are displayed instantly and can be changed at any time.

In this example the columns for round 2 are shown and scores have been sorted in the order of highest score for round 1 + round 2.

2 - Points Tally

Should your association give points to riders or horses for performances at the draft (eg 10 for first, 5 for second etc) to calculate an overall prize these can be added in the points column. The Points Tally can then be selected from the Scoring Menu on screen to display the overall points tally for the day.

3 - Printing Scores

The scores printed are printed in the same order as currently displayed. Check the display order prior to printing.
Select either Print All or Print First.. and set the number to print. Select the rounds required on the score sheet.
If you are allocating points for each event for an overall prize select the Print Points option (by clicking to display a tick in this box) to include the points on the sheets. All reports can be previewed before printing and have no effect on the data.
The completed score sheets are suitable for giving to the judge, displaying at the ground and retaining in the association's records.

4 - Non-Campdraft Score Sheets

The non-draft score screens are similar to those for campdrafting but allow only scores for 2 rounds. If this is a 'race' event the lowest time is the top score. The type of event must be set correctly here to ensure that the sorting is correct.

5 - Drafts in Conjunction

Where drafts are run in conjunction you may need to separate the scores for each draft to determine prizes or to continue with separate second rounds or finals.
Start by scoring the first round as for any other event. Although the options selected (e.g. Maiden, Novice) for each entry are not available on screen these are printed with any printing of the score sheets.
When you have completed the first round and wish to begin to use 2 separate scorings select "Scoring" and "Split 1 score sheet -> 2(conjunction)". This instantly creates new files for each option included in the event – and you will have a separate score sheet for each draft. Should a separate file already exist you will be asked whether to replace it,. Any results already entered in the common sheet will be included. Only those competitors with the appropriate option selected are shown in each set of results.

Note that:
(1) Any further changes that you make to the original scores will not be reflected in the separate score sheets
(2) Any repeated creation of these tables will result in a new table being created from the current shared data. Any information entered since you created separate sheets previously will be lost.
To use the score sheets select the option "Scoring" and then "Access Conjunction Scores after Split". Note that the title of the window indicates which data you are looking at (e.g. Maiden/;Novice – Novice). [The windows will appear on top of each other. These can be moved on the screen by clicking on the title bar and dragging the mouse. You may close the window that you are not currently using.] If you close the windows they can be re-opened using the option "Access Conjunction Scores…".
All reports can be printed from these separate windows.

6 - Drawing a Final

The final draws are completed in the scoring area of the system. You can either select the top xx competitors, or up to a certain score to include in the final. It is important the you have the competitors displayed in the correct order before starting, and theat you complete either the left or right side of the form - depending on the way in which you are selecting the competitors.
